And if this is not bad enough, there is more---
Spam is also illegal in many states.
And on top of that Spam is also VERY ineffective.
If you haven't yet, sooner or later you will receive invitations
to spam (via spam, of course). Some of these messages will
sound seductively logical. They will tell you that it is legal
and accepted to send unsolicited bulk mail. They will offer you
a full array of spam services, mailing lists, and even some
software that will sound like a true magic.
The bottom line - the "Amazing Power of E-Mail Marketing" is NOT
about sending a high volume of e-mail to strangers. What I have
in mind is leveraging your time and money to keep in touch via
e-mail with your buyers, your prospects, and your entire sphere
of influence.
It is about staying in touch with people you know, about
generating new inquiries and about providing superb service to
your customers. It is about building rapport and trust with an
astonishing number of prospects while keeping the cost of running
your business low.
E-mail is amazing!
In 1996 I was invited to a wedding. The couple met and got
engaged via e-mail. I must admit at that time it seemed to me a
bit strange. At that time, however, I could hardly imagine
coaching a client in another city, let alone coaching someone on
another continent. Little did I know that in a short time I would
become an e-mail based, international, business coach.
You see, although most of the time my coaching sessions take
place over the phone. At the beginning, with some of my clients,
the entire coaching was conducted via e-mail. Check the web pages
of Eduard Sole, my Spanish client from Barcelona -
www.GaudiClub.com - and you will see the results of my coaching.
I helped Eduard develop the site and the entire business concept,
and I'm very proud of my influence here. We communicated mainly
via e-mail. Amazing - isn't it?
